Beach Lovelies

Our annual summer pilgrimage to Cape Breton.

Quiet beaches.

Bonfires.

Lobster three days in a row.

Salty skin.

Familiar faces and familiar stories.

And wanting to hear them again.

Did you catch the piece of sea glass hiding among the stones? We were struck by the beautiful driftwood on the beaches this year. Keith has been using driftwood  pieces in his art for a few years now, and some of the smaller pieces are calling out to be incorporated into jewelry.  But they will have to wait for awhile, as we head out of province to a  family wedding. Would it be inappropriate to bring a box of driftwood and my tools to the country club reception?

Thanks Pesky Cat, it really was lovely. And Di, can’t take the dare, I’m already way in over my head- I’ve never set foot in a country club in my life :)
